OEM Bore Pumps

OEM Bore Pumps

OEM Submersible Bore Pumps are the cheapest bore pumps on the Strongman Pumps website.  The reason they are a cheap bore pump is because they are not rebranded.  OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacture.

All the OEM bore pumps on the site are 4″ inch, suitable for 4″ inch casing or larger.  Only one model is a 3” Inch Bore Pump

All of the OEM models come standard with a starter box.  However, you have the option of purchasing the pump with the automatic control box at the shopping cart for a heavily reduced price.

The 3 phase models come standard with the automatic control box.

Apart from the price, the reason the OEM models are the most popular pumps is because of their floating impeller system which allows them to handle grit and sand better as well as their 'Water Level Probes' that come with the automatic control box. Find out more about the OEM Automatic Control Box here.

A couple of the OEM models are coupled with Franklin Electric submersible motors.  Any of the OEM pump ends can be coupled with Franklin Electric motors on request.  This will increase the price slightly.

I have been selling these OEM submersible bore pumps for 10 years now (and use one myself) and they have proven to be a very reliable bore pump.

Single 1 Phase OEM Bore Pumps

The OEM 1 phase 3-wire (4-core) 4” Inch bore pumps need a start capacitor which are in the starter boxes which will come with the pump when ordered. These starter boxes also contain the circuit breaker which will trip the motor if it gets hot to protect the life of the motor.

There are a couple of OEM pumps which are coupled with 2-wire single phase Franklin Electric Motors.  The Franklin 2-wire motor is designed for direct connection to the single-phase power supply with no need for a starter box. The advantages of this motor design is the ease of installation along with the unique ‘reverse impact torque’.  Any of the OEM pump ends can be coupled with Franklin Electric motors if requested.  This will increase the price slightly.

When you purchase an OEM bore pump, there is an option to purchase an Automatic Control Box at a heavily reduced price.  If you choose to purchase the Automatic Control Box you will not get a starter box as the automatic controller contains the capacitor and the circuit breaker.  The control box also contains water level monitoring probes that can be installed down the bore with the pump.  These probes will protect the pump from running dry and are installed down the bore with the pump and are wired into the control box. If there is not enough water, the system will shut down until the water level in the bore recovers and will allow the system to restart when the water level in the bore recovers. Handy if you don’t know the flow of the bore or have a low yielding bore.

Three 3 Phase OEM Bore Pumps

Three 3 Phase OEM bore pumps operate on three phase power.

They come standard with the automatic control box. The Automatic Control Box contains the thermal overload and has the added feature of ‘water level monitoring’ probes.  These probes are installed down the bore with the pump and are wired into the control box. If there is not enough water, the system will shut down until the water level in the bore recovers and will allow the system to restart when the water level in the bore recovers. Handy if you don’t know the flow of the bore or have a low yielding bore.
