6LYD (Wye-Delta) 6 Lead motors are also available for most models (except the rewindable) on request.

Franklin Standard Water Well 8" Motors

The Franklin Electric 8” submersible motors are designed to operate vertically in 8 inch diameter or larger bores or water wells. The contractor friendly premium motor protection system protects the motor against overload, underload, overheating and rapid cycling.

Franklin 316 Stainless Steel 8" Motors

The data for the  316 SS 8” motor is the same as the standard water well motor, however the 316 Stainless steel shell provides better corrosion resistance for saltwater applications.

Franklin STD WW HI TEMP 75C 8" Motors

Franklin’s Hi-Temp Motor line delivers – more. The Hi-Temp motor was designed and built in response to many requests for a motor that can operate dependably in wells with high temperatures and/or low flow conditions. The submersible motors are built for dependable operation in 8-inch diameter or larger water wells and bores with ambient temperature up to 75°C. 
They are fitted with water lubricated radial and thrust bearings for maintenance-free operation. These motors are filled with a special FES92 fluid, providing frost protection down to -15 ºC storage temperature. 
A special diaphragm ensures pressure compensation inside the motor. The Sand fighter® SiC seal system is standard.

Franklin 316 SS HI TEMP 75C 8" Motors

The Franklin Electric 8-inch encapsulated motors are manufactured in ISO 9001 certified facilities. The data for the  316 SS 6” motor is the same as the standard water well Hi Temp 75C motor, however the 316 Stainless Steel has a special construction option for seawater applications. 

Franklin STD WW REWINDABLE 8" Motors

The Franklin electric 8 inch rewindable motors are designed for dependable operation in 8 inch diameter or larger water wells and bores. The motors are fitted with water lubricated radial and thrust bearings for maintenance free operation. These 8 inch rewindable motors are manufactured in ISO 9001certified facilities and have SAND FIGHTER™ SiC seal system for high performance in sand. The motor is filled with a special FES93 fluid, providing frost protection down to -15ºC storage temperature.  They can do a maximum of 20 starts per hour. Installation position: vertical / horizontal (93 kW motors may not be installed horizontally).  Motor Lead in 6m length (KTW approved).

Franklin 316 SS REWINDABLE 8" Motors

The data for the  316 SS 8” motor is the same as the standard water well rewindable motor, however the 316 Stainless Steel has a special construction for aggressive media, acid, low pH, and seawater applications. 

Franklin 904L SS REWINDABLE 8" Motors

The data for the  904LSS 8” motor is the same as the standard water well rewindable motor, however the 904L Stainless Steel has a special construction for aggressive media, acid, low pH, and seawater applications

SAE 904L grade stainless steel is a fully austenic low-carbon variety of stainless steel with additives of molybdenum and copper. Its high nickel and chromium content make it corrosion resistant in both oxidizing and reducing environments. The copper and molybdenum help to make it resistant to pitting as well as crevice corrosion. The nickel content makes it resistant to chloride SCC and the low proportion of carbon makes it resistant to intergranular corrosion. It is considered especially well-suited to handling sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid, though at high temperatures it may be subject to stress corrosion cracking.
