Most of the DC Pressure Pumps, Deckwash Pumps & Bilge Pumps are mainly used for caravans, campervans, RV’s, Pod Homes and Boats.
Our 12 & 24V Pressure Pumps and Pressure Pump Systems are suitable as Marine pumps for boats, small portable homes such as caravans, RV’s and container pods and similar off grid applications where no electricity is available.
Most of these pumps will be used with solar panels, wind turbine or battery. We also sell these products but have not displayed them on the website yet.
Please contact me for a quote on any off grid products and accessories needed to run your pump off grid.
The DC Pond and Fountain Pump Kits come complete with all the parts you need included, to suit most applications. The “ Max Head” measurement is the maximum lift height in full sun. They also feature run-dry protection and have a full 2 year replacement warranty.
Being solar, these pumps operate in direct sunlight only. A battery is needed to run them at night. Strongman Pumps also sells the kits with batteries.
Solar batteries or other off grid accessories are also available on this website.
12V or 24V DC Bilge Pumps can be used instead of drainage pumps when there is no 240v power available. They can be operated from a boat, car or truck battery, solar or wind turbine.
You can drain water from a stormwater pit, underground manhole or tank using a bilge pump as long as the head doesn’t exceed what the pump performance chart shows. Our smaller bilge pumps are around 3m max head and the larger bilge pumps can manage up to 7.5m head.
A bilge pump is a submersible water pump used to remove unwanted water. Some models can run-dry for short periods. Since fuel can be present in the bilge, the bilge pumps are designed to not cause sparks.
Manual Bilge pumps can be fitted with float switches making them automatic which turn on the pump when the bilge fills to a set level. If possible, the pump is placed at the lowest point at the bottom of the hull, pit, tank etc so as to suck the maximum amount of water out. They could be used to bring water up from a shallow well or to fill above ground tanks.
Bilge pumps are portable and can therefore be used in many situations where normal power supply won’t reach. These pumps are extremely efficient, draw low current and offer high capacity output in a very compact housing, to fit into the smallest available space. The low profile bilge pumps will fit into small tight spaces.
They can be manual pumps, or automatic if fitted with a float switch.
There are also some Kits which include a tank with the pump fitted inside the tank.
JABSCO deck washdown pumps have splash resistant motors. They will withstand some spray and the occasional splash – but they are NOT WATERPROOF and should be subject to minimal external water contact.
They should be mounted in the driest location possible and always follow the manufacturers installation instructions.
Warranty is void if the motor is waterlogged -and if a strainer is not used.
