1.25″ inch (32mm) BSPM Stainless Steel Manifold with Ball & Gate Valve
When including a pressure tank, pressure gauge or pressure switch on the line, a manifold kit ensures that all the items are correctly spaced.
The manifold includes a gate valve that can be used to throttle back or adjust the flow of water from the bore.
If using a larger stand alone tank, then the braided connection will connect to the socket where the tank is and this is then connected to the tank
These manifolds are perfectly suited to the Franklin SubDrives.
The manifold has a:-
1 x 1” BSP nipple Male for the tank ball valve.
1 x ¼” BSP socket Female for the pressure gauge.
1 x ¼” NPT socket Female for the pressure switch.
NPT/NPS and BSP threads are not compatible due to the differences in their thread forms, and not just the fact that most sizes have a different pitch.
You can use 1/2″ and 3/4″ NPT and BSP fittings together, but all others will be incompatible and will therefore leak.
Both NPT and BSP are pipe thread standards for screw threads used on pipes and pipe fittings to seal pipes.
With NPT, the peaks and valleys of the threads are flat. In BSP, they are rounded.
Secondly, the NPT angle of the thread is 60 degrees and the BSP angle is 55 degrees. NPT fittings are slightly tapered.
