Dog or Pet Washing Station
If you have a dog grooming tub or dog wash station and need an undersink pump system that can handle dog and animal hair, you can use one of our undersink pump systems.
Make sure to include a hair trap below the tub or sink outlet pipe before the undersink pump tank.

Hair Trap
A hair trap must be installed below the station or tub.
If you have a commercial dog wash station for a business, it is highly recommended to use a quality inline hair trap such as this one.
Note the hair trap under the sink in the image on the left.
If you are only using a dog washing tub for your own pets, then a basic hair trap may be suitable.
Hair can tangle around the pump shaft and build up over time causing a lot of strain on the motor. Installing a hair trap to stop the dog hair entering the undersink pump station is recommended.
Pumps used in the undersink pump systems

The pumps that come standard in our undersink pump systems are a Reefe Vortex Pump. Vortex pumps can handle a fair amount of dirt and grit… such as a very muddy dog.
