15kw/20hp Franklin 6 inch Submersible Motor – 316SS Hi Temp 90C
Franklin Hi-Temp motor was designed and built in response to many requests for a motor that can operate dependably in wells with high temperatures and/or low flow conditions.
These 6-inch encapsulated motors have the Sand Fighter SiC seal system as standard. Water lubricated thrust and radial bearings enable a maintenance free operation. A special diaphragm ensures pressure compensation inside the motor.
The motor is filled with a special FES92 fluid, providing frost protection down to -15 ºC storage temperature.
The High Temperature 90C 6” motor utilizes a new, premium encapsulation process and new water soluble coolant to allow continuous operation in water temperatures of up to 90ºC (provided minimum allowable rates of flow past the motor are maintained). This design is also capable of handling thrust loads 25% higher than a standard motor without using oil. There is a 25% increase in upthrust capability at 30°C and a 25% increase in downthrust capability at 30°C
Franklin’s Hi-Temp 90C is good for high temperature well applications and comes with high temperature leads.
The 316 Stainless steel shell provides better corrosion resistance for saltwater applications.
The motor protection device that can be used with 3 three phase motors is the SubMonitor.
Franklin’s SubMonitor overload protection option extends motor warranty to three years.
The SubMonitor protection system guards the motor against overload, underload, excessive winding temperature and rapid cycling.
